Another dinner that happened when I had “nothing” to eat. Except a giant bag of salad mix my dad brought home and said we had to eat all week. I hate salads with cabbage and carrots in it, but I promised to eat some…but I decided to put all kinds of other stuff in it, too.
For example, chick peas onions, red & green peppers sauteed in olive oil with salt, pepper & fresh garlic. After the chick peas started to brown I moved all that over and dumped in a can of peas. Be careful when you try to brown canned peas, you don’t want to smash them!
Add the tomatoes at the last minute, and some more spices. I think I added some dill here, too.
Let it cool
This is my drab salad mix….
Not so drab anymore.
This is pretty much my basic tahini sauce, but I added a little mustard and olive oil.
And…that was a good salad!
