I cannot say enough about how much I enjoyed ArtPrize this year, especially visiting the old Public Museum for the first time (in memory, anyway). This gorgeous building was completed in 1940, and you can tell. I want to share it with you.
Behold, 54 Jefferson Street
All that beautiful shiny glass, the old school font, the lovely scallops, the heavy wood framed doors…. Gorgeous.
Sadly, there usually is nothing new at the museum, but thanks to ArtPrize there were many things!
This took my breath away. I wish I could LIVE in the old museum!
From upstairs we got a neat view of the piece that was suspended from the ceiling. More pictures from the old GRPM coming soon!
