I mentioned earlier the Spicy Italian Qrunch Burger could be a good alternative for meatballs in a pasta dish. I decided to find out whether or not that was true.
Saute onions & garlic in olive oil with a little salt. Cook the Spicy Italian Qrunch Burger in the toaster, chop it. When onions are soft, add chopped burger. Continue cooking for a few minutes.
Add cooked pasta – I almost always use angel hair, just because it cooks faster.
Since there’s nothing to the noodles, I added more olive oil and seasoned them with salt, pepper, garlic, and a little nutritional yeast. Mix it all together.
I liked the spiciness and texture the Qrunch burger added to the pasta. It has a much better flavor and texture than faux meat, and the whole thing is cooked and ready to eat in about 15 to 20 minutes. It would be great with marinara sauce, too.
