Earth Fare Burgers, Coconut Bliss, and MORE Earth Fare!!!!!

Today is the last day to enter to win Four FREE Tickets to the Italian dinner & show. The deadline to enter is 8pm EST!!!!

Last weekend I went to Indiana to celebrate the first birthday of my cousin’s daughter. They were serving hamburgers and hotdogs (hamburgs, as Tete calls them), but lucky me – they thought of me for dinner and dessert!

Never heard of Earth Fare before, but it’s like a small-scale Whole Foods and there was one just a few minutes from my cousin’s house. She picked up these black bean burgers,

I was just going to cook them in the microwave ’cause I saw the cheesy burgers cooking on the grill and all the stuff sticking to the grate. However…

the top rack on the grill had never been used, so I had grilled burgers for the first time in years and years.

I went all out and had two of them, they were really good! Also had fruit salad, and pasta salad with kalamata olives and artichokes. And for dessert…

Luna & Larry’s Coconut Bliss ice cream! And COOKIES!!!! Vegan “Everything” cookies also by Earth Fare. Not very healthy, but they *are* cookies after all, not a health food. You buy the dough,

and bake at home.

I decided to make a cookie sundae. I put a couple big scoops of ice cream over a freshly-baked cookie,

and topped it with sprinkles and nuts. I could feel myself getting fatter with each bite. It was worth it.

Besides, later that day I burned off the extra calories doing a 15-minute sprint through the store on our way home! Snapped a few pictures for you:

Produce.

Expensive snacks and candy I couldn’t afford 🙂

Even pricier candy!

Almost bought these, but I’m saving up for a shopping spree at Food Fight.

IMG_4293.JPG
Various non-dairy milks.

Lots of kombucha.

They also had a bunch of vegan cosmetics. In the end, because of my little Oregonian-inspired spending freeze, I just got a few necessities – Tom’s of Maine toothpaste, Dr. Bronner’s Organic lip balm, kombucha for the ride home, and I picked up a box of vegan dog treats for Jack 🙂 I’ll have to go back sometime when I have more than $20 to spend and 15 minutes to shop!
