Okay friends – whether you’re looking for a good gluten free burger, need a vegan convenience food, or just about to start the Nativity Fast and wondering what the heck you are going to eat, THIS CONTEST IS FOR YOU!!! I have two 8oz jars of Just Mayo, and four coupons each good for one free box of Qrunch Burgers. I will mail these items to the winner (sorry, must be in the United States).

So, how do you win? Share this blog on facebook or via email using the little round buttons below (just above the Reblog and Like buttons). Then comment letting me know you’ve shared, and also please tell me your favorite vegan/Lenten recipe! The contest closes at 10:30pm EST on Monday, November 10.

I chose these products because I truly think they are wonderful. The makers of Just Mayo, Hampton Creek, is a great company basically planning to takeover the world with egg-free products, and willing to sell their stuff anywhere – including the dollar store! And Just Mayo is one of the only food items in the dollar store that isn’t a ripoff.
Qrunch Burgers are a favorite because they are convenient – just pop them in the toaster for a couple rounds. I love that they don’t try to imitate real burgers (and then fail epically, as most do). They’re soy-free, flavorful, have a great crunchy texture, and they’re delicious sandwiched between two donuts!

I hope you’ll enjoy them as much as I do. Good luck!

  1. I shared! My favorite vegan dish is Mujadarrah (Lentils and Rice with Fried Onions). I like to mix in homemade hummus and sprinkle it with fermented pickle juice. YUM!

  2. Sounds like a nice giveaway. πŸ™‚ We have about 5 bottle of Just Mayo now in our household, haha. Love the stuff, the winner will be very happy to receive these. I’ve just heard Qrunch is now vegan again, so thankful they switched from vegetarian to vegan – hooray! I guess they had enough complaints that they made the switch back. Wish Morning Star would do the same again. ^_^ Good Luck with your giveaway!

    • I wonder if you were thinking of Daiya cheese? They’ve always been a vegan product, but there’s been a big fuss because they’ve been doing more and more marketing to omnivores, and have a ton of meaty recipes on their website (they started changing them after people complained).

Qrunch burgers have always been vegan, and (fingers crossed!) I think they always will be! So please, keep Qrunching!!!!

Let me tell you what I like to eat during Lent.
I like to make vegan chili. I like to make it hot my sauteing jalapenos & white onions, and by using Chili powder, Chili flakes and cayeene pepper. I also like to use the Aldo brand of Franks Red Hot sauce. I add black, pinto, garbanzo and kidney beans. Tomatoes and variety of sweet peppers are added as well, and of course salt, black pepper and garlic.
Once the Chili has been created I like to put it atop a soft corn tortilla, along with fresh avocado and pick de gallo. Sometimes I add fresh chopped jalapenos on top.
I drink water while I’ll eat it.
For dessert I enjoy semi sweet chocolate chips.
Another Lenten favorite- homemade pizza pockets. Made with our secret dough recipe, homemade marinara and daiya cheese.
Then of course there’s always Lenten soup from a can.

  4. I shared! My favorite vegan dish is a toss up between your buffalo tofu and your jalapeΓ±o cashew cheese! Love them both!

I have so many favorite vegan recipes, it’s difficult to choose! Here are my top three:
    1) Quinoa and chickpea salad with cucumbers, tomatoes, red onions, cilantro, and a squeeze of lime juice. Perfect for summer and the leftovers are fantastic.
    2) Quinoa and black beans, simmered in veggie stock and cumin with onion, red bell pepper, and sweet corn kernels. I like to eat this with avocado slices & tortilla chips.
    3) Avocado pesto (avocado, pine nuts or walnuts, lemon juice, lots of basil, garlic). I like to use Raditore pasta for this one and top it with sun-dried tomatoes.

Thanks for hosting this giveaway! I’m a big fun of Qrunch burgers, but have yet to try Just Mayo. Crossing my fingers for a win πŸ™‚
